Rose Garden Children’s Park (Washington Park playground)

Rate this playground

This is a fabulous playground in one of the most beautiful parks I have ever seen in a city. First of all, Washington Park is huge and contains not only this great playground but also the Oregon Zoo, the Portland Children’s Museum, and the World Forestry Center. There are miles and miles of trails in the park and one of them goes right through the playground.

The playground is inclusive and wheelchair accessible, allowing everyone to truly enjoy themselves and have a great time. There are infant swings as well as regular swings, there are several slides, monkey bars, a padded play surface, rocking toys, and a sand play area. All around the playground, there are benches and picnic tables. There is a restroom right next to the playground, which is great especially if the kids get messy playing in the sand.

If you plan to visit Portland at all, visiting Washington Park is an absolute must do even if you do not have small children.
