Wow! This is the word that came to mind when we stumbled upon this oasis while looking for a place to stretch our legs and let the kids play. We were traveling for hours along I-95 over Labor Day weekend and discovered this brand new playground right off the highway.

Not only does this playground have probably the most incredible treehouse I’ve seen, it also had a really cool zip line and a splash pad where kids (and grown ups) can cool off. Explore the treehouse a bit and you will find hidden monkey bars, a great “porch” swing, a disc swing, bridges and slides. It’s also in the shade during the hottest part of the day (which is when we happened to be there).

There are also regular swings, infant swings, a seesaw element, a covered picnic pavilion, and a water fountain.

Unfortunately, there were no restrooms but there is a port-a-potty should you become desperate. Also, be prepared for a little sand in the car when you leave. The base of the playground is all sand.

Though this may not be the norm, the day we were there people were chain-smoking all over the place. While this may not be that big of a deal, it is clear that smoking is not allowed, as there were no less than 9 “no smoking” signs in the picnic pavilion, which is precisely where people were smoking. There were also several “no dogs” signs posted so just keep that in mind when visiting this playground.
